Nigel has been involved in the evolution of The Management Crowd since its inception.
Nigel started his working life in the Royal Engineers and then moved into engineering in aircraft manufacturing (Britten Norman), the oil industry (Associated Octel), light engineering in the UK and in general trading and retailing in the Middle East.
Returning to the UK he moved into the emerging IT industry, spending time with Centrefile (part, then, of NatWest), and an IBM Systems Centre - South East Computers in a Director role. Nigel founded Catalysts Ltd which has provided IT services to publishers since 1990. Nigel’s expertise in managing complex systems on behalf of clients and growing organisations provides him with a solid grounding in management and the need to promote effective collaboration across organisational boundaries.
Nigel observed first hand how management has become increasingly more difficult in today’s complex business environment. The concepts that underlie The Management Crowd resonate strongly with his own personal experience.
