Story telling

Stories are amongst the most important assets of an organisation. They tell of its past, its present and its vision of, and aspirations for its future. They guide, explain, inspire, motivate and mobilise.

They are one of the most important tools of leadership and communication within an organisation, and from the organisation to the wider world. Good leadership stories are coherent, compelling and consistent. They address logical needs and emotional responses. We know when we have bought into a leadership story when we want a role in it.

Great leaders are almost always great story tellers. Inspirational leaders are always so. Their stories are remembered long after they have been told; often the great leaders are remembered for their stories long after they have passed on.

Becoming a good story teller is not easy. But neither is it impossible to learn. This workshop introduces the structure and format of great leadership stories and story telling. The workshop shows how we can all become better story tellers with better stories to tell. Participants are helped to construct their own stories using tools and techniques which are easy to learn, practical and give immediate results. They are shown how to tell their stories using lessons from the great story tellers.

Whether your need is to write an effective “elevator pitch” or to craft the core stories of your organisation, this workshop will help and inspire you in equal measure.
